For long-term investors: $ETH itself becomes more valuable in a multi-node world. Why? Because every L2 that uses Ethereum for security or data availability pays fees in ETH. More L2s = more fee burn = stronger supply-side dynamics. But this only works if Ethereum maintains its security advantage. Any major L1 security failure would break the entire modular thesis.
